Drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and constipation can occur. Do not drive or use machines if affected. Risk of addiction increases with longer use, keep the course short. Seek urgent help after any overdose, even if you feel well. Do not use if you are under 12 years, if you have severe breathing problems, severe liver disease, or if you are allergic to any ingredient. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before use if you have kidney or liver problems, gallbladder or bowel disease, sleep apnoea, or if you take sedatives, tranquillisers, antihistamines, other opioids, or medicines that affect the liver such as some anticonvulsants. Paracetamol taken daily for several days can increase the effect of warfarin. Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless a clinician advises.

Paramol Tablets combine paracetamol 500 mg with dihydrocodeine tartrate 7.46 mg for short-term relief of strong pain when simple painkillers have not helped. Onset is usually within about 30 minutes. Use for a maximum of 3 days.
How to use

Adults and children 12 years and over, take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours. Use for up to 3 days only. Swallow with water. Do not take with any other paracetamol or other opioid painkillers. Avoid alcohol. If pain persists, speak to a pharmacist or doctor.
