NHS prescriptions
Get your NHS prescriptions from Windmill
Nominate us as your pharmacy. Your GP sends the prescription straight to us, we get it ready, and you collect it from the counter. It costs nothing to switch.
How it works
Nominate us once. After that, every prescription comes to us.
Step 1Nominate us
Tell your GP surgery, choose Windmill Pharmacy in the NHS App, or fill in the form below and we'll do it for you.
Step 2We prepare your medicines
Your prescription comes to us electronically. We get it ready and let you know when it's done.
Step 3You collect
Pick it up from the counter, Mon–Fri 9–1 and 2–6 or Sat 9–1. Ask the pharmacist anything while you're here.
Three ways to do it
Nominate us your way
Any of these works. Nothing changes with your GP, and you can switch pharmacy again whenever you like.
- Tell your GP surgeryAsk reception to make Windmill Pharmacy, Denton your nominated pharmacy. Our NHS code is FRT39 if they ask for it.
- Use the NHS AppOpen Prescriptions, choose your nominated pharmacy, and search for Windmill Pharmacy, Denton.
- Let us do itFill in this form or call 0161 336 2111. We set it up and let you know once it's done.
Good to know
Does anything change with my GP?
No. You keep your GP. Nominating only tells them where to send your prescriptions.
Does it cost anything?
No. Nominating a pharmacy is free. You pay the usual NHS prescription charge, or nothing if you're exempt.
When can I collect?
From the counter, Mon–Fri 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm and Sat 9am to 1pm. We let you know when it's ready.
Can I change my mind later?
Yes. You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time, through your GP surgery or the NHS App.
