Evana Heavy Period Relief 500 mg Tablets contain tranexamic acid to reduce heavy menstrual bleeding. Non hormonal. For women with regular 21 to 35 day cycles. Take only on heavy days for a maximum of 4 days per period. Most benefit is seen in the first two days.

How to use
    • Start after your period begins, not before. Swallow two tablets three times daily, morning, afternoon and evening, for up to four days. If bleeding has not reduced, you may take an extra two tablets at night. Do not take more than eight tablets in 24 hours. When bleeding lessens, reduce to two tablets twice daily. Do not use under 18 years. If Evana has not helped after three consecutive periods, seek advice.

Main Ingredients
    • Each tablet contains tranexamic acid 500 mg. Other ingredients are calcium hydrogen phosphate anhydrous, croscarmellose sodium, povidone, talc and magnesium stearate. Tablets are essentially sodium free.

Side Effects & Cautions
Side Effects:
    • Nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea can occur. Rarely, allergic skin reactions, visual changes or seizures are reported. Stop and seek urgent help if you develop chest pain, shortness of breath, swelling or pain in a limb, fainting or coughing blood. Do not use if you are pregnant, under 18, have kidney problems, have ever had a blood clot, have blood in the urine between periods, or if your periods are irregular. Do not use with the combined oral contraceptive pill or with medicines such as tamoxifen, oestrogen therapies or fibrinolytics. Speak to a pharmacist or doctor before use if you are over 45, very overweight, have PCOS, diabetes, a strong family history of clots or any change in your bleeding pattern.
