2San Stomach Ulcer Test detects Helicobacter pylori antigens in stool to help identify infection linked with peptic ulcers and dyspepsia, with a result in about 10 minutes.
How to use
Collect a small stool sample using the stick, mix in the buffer, apply drops to the cassette and read at the stated time. Positive results need clinical assessment and, if confirmed, eradication therapy. Avoid testing within 2 weeks of antibiotics or bismuth, or 2 weeks after stopping PPIs where possible.
Main contents
Test cassette, buffer tube, sampling stick and instructions.
Side effects and cautions
Gastrointestinal bleeding, recent antibiotics or acid-suppressing therapy can affect results. Seek urgent care for black stools, vomiting blood or severe pain.
