2San Bowel Health Test [FOB] checks for hidden blood in stool using an immunochemical faecal occult blood method, a simple home screen that helps you act early on bowel symptoms. Results are ready in about 10 minutes.

How to use
Collect a small stool sample with the supplied wand, place into the collection buffer, cap and shake, then add drops to the cassette. Read the lines at the stated time in the leaflet, typically 10 minutes. A positive result needs medical advice. Do not use during visible rectal bleeding.

Side effects and cautions
Home FOB tests are screening tools, not a diagnosis. Blood can be from non-cancer causes such as haemorrhoids or ulcers. Ongoing bowel changes, weight loss or abdominal pain warrant GP review even if the test is negative. Follow the timing window to avoid false reads. NHS invites use a lab FIT; follow NHS screening when invited.
