Hepatitis B Vaccine

£44.99
Doses: One dose

Hepatitis B is a viral infection that primarily affects the liver, transmitted predominantly through bodily fluids and contaminated needles, distinguishing it from hepatitis types spread via contaminated water.

Our standard course comprises three essential doses. To optimise the vaccine’s efficacy, the initial dose should be administered at least one month prior to travel. Following the initial dose, the subsequent injection is scheduled four weeks later, culminating with a final dose five months thereafter, completing the course within six months.

For those requiring urgent vaccination, we offer an accelerated course. The second dose is available seven days post the initial injection, and the concluding dose is administered a minimum of 14 days after the second. Post-completion of the initial course, boosters are generally unnecessary for five years but might be advisable following exposure.

The vaccine is professionally administered via injection into the upper arm. Patients may experience minor side effects such as soreness at the injection site or a sense of fatigue. This vaccination service is inclusively available, with eligibility extending from newborns onwards.
